Effect	While this spell is active, the mage may direct this spell at a single target and attempt to read their surface thoughts, revealing what is going through the target's mind at a given moment. Directing the spell toward a target requires an opposed Casting roll vs. the target's Magic Resistance. If the target fails their save, the caster is able to read their surface thoughts at will, and may choose to redirect the spell to a new target as a standard action. Each time the spell is redirected, a new opposed roll is required. However, if the target successfully resists the spell, the caster does not glean anything from them, and the spell ends. Particularly intelligent or perceptive targets may realize that something feels "off," or have a brief sensation that someone was watching them at the Storyteller's discretion. If a target witnesses the spell being cast and succeeds on their save, they may attempt a Knowledge: Magic check to recognize that a spell has been cast upon them and respond accordingly.
