Creates a telepathic connection with a target. This allows the caster and the target to communicate as if speaking out loud, regardless of the targets location. The target must be known to the caster, although their current location need not be known. Targets must be willing and may not be forced. Targets can sense the mind of the caster and accept the connection or shield their mind from the contact.

As Basic Contact, except expanded range, more base targets, and the communication occurs at the speed of thought. Extensive conversations can occur during a single round without impacting the ability to take an action and caster and targets can share images or memories with each other. This enables the caster and target to share each other’s current situation as it unfolds if they desire. Current or recent events will be more clear than memories from the distant past. Because communication is happening via thought, when communicating via Connect Thoughts, the caster and targets understand each other regardless of language.

If the target fails to resist, this spell allows the caster to read their surface thoughts granting a +Rank bonus on any opposed social rolls for Gather Information, Diplomacy, or Intimidate against the target. Spells which prevent reading a targets aura or emotions will prevent this spell.

This spell allows the caster to forcibly read the targets surface thoughts or recent memories (within 1 day x Rank), granting a +Rank bonus on any opposed social rolls to Gather Information, Diplomacy, or Intimidate against the target. No resistance roll is allowed, however spells which normally prevent reading a target’s aura or emotions provide an opposed roll. If the target is experiencing strong emotion they suffer a -2 penalty on their opposed roll.
