The Draeken legend says were birthed in a clutch from their progenitors, laying in eggs until they clawed and bit their way to freedom in the world. This is much the same way they give birth today, female Draeken laying eggs and watching them protectively. However, unlike most egg-laying species a newborn Draeken immediately upon freeing itself from its egg begins to devour the remaining eggs. The strongest child hatches first and grows yet stronger by feeding on the remaining eggs. On extremely rare occasion multiple Draeken will hatch simultaneously and either divide the eggs among them, or immediately and fatally fight for the right to devour them. Draeken females are somewhat larger than their male counterparts and tend to be more aggressive in general. The male Draeken tend to be stealthier hunters and with a more calm demeanour. Draeken hunt in ranges and rarely if ever share those areas with other Draeken. Even newly born Draeken are taught only the basics of hunting and language before they become large enough and strong enough to seek their own range. Draeken are pure hunters, nearly every creature they encounter is potential prey. They clash with each other if a range is invaded by a travelling Draeken and rarely trade with each other. Half-breed Draeken are not possible, and it is unlikely most other races would survive the attempt. Draeken mating is extremely vigorous.
