| Effect | The shaman siphons the essence of water from the spirit realm to realize it in the physical realm. In doing so, she creates a massive wave of water (Rank x 3 yards wide, 20 yards long) directly in front of herself. The wave crashes forward, rolling over and crushing anything in its path. This deals non-lethal damage based on her Casting Roll (Casting Stat + Shamanism Skill + Water Spirit Rank). Targets hit by the wave must succeed on a Physical Magic Resistance Roll vs. the initial Casting Roll or be knocked prone.
When casting this spell while Imbued, the shaman may choose to ride the wave and stop/dismount at any point in its path while the wave continues onward. She may ignore Difficult Terrain generated by this spell. Alternatively, the shaman may cast this spell upon a Manifested Water Spirit that has not yet acted, consuming its actions for the turn as well. The spell transforms the spirit into the Crashing Wave as described above, however, the spirit and shaman may direct the wave along a nonlinear path, traveling up to 3x the spirit’s Movement speed instead of 20 yards. The spirit may return to its original form at any point along that path, ending the effect. After the wave reaches its end, the affected area is filled with water and is considered Difficult Terrain until the water drains away. |
