Unarmed Combat represents the ability to fight and deal damage with bare hands/feet/elbows. This skill is broken up into Striking or Grappling, and every purchase of this skill must apply to either subtype, and each subtype ranks up separately.
On unarmed combat attacks, your skill in the subtype is added to the applicable statistic and base damage to determine the dice pool.
Subtype | Base Effect |
---|---|
Striking | Str/Dex + Unarmed Combat + 2d10 (Non-Lethal Damage) |
Grappling | Str/Dex + Unarmed Combat + 2d10 Opposed Roll vs. Target's Unarmed Combat OR Escape Artist (whichever is higher). If successful, the target is Grappled. An attacker who has successfully grappled a target may use a Standard Action on subsequent turns to Squeeze their target. This results in an opposed roll vs. the target's Unarmed Combat or Escape Artist, whichever is higher. Any successes above the target's roll are dealt as Non-Lethal damage. |
