The channeler aides the spirit of a deceased mortal in reaching their final destination and ensures that they can never be raised as an undead. If cast on a willing ghost they are guided to the Realm of the Dead, as their soul is sent to Su-Lan making them no longer a ghost. If this spell is cast on a corpse, the corpse is preserved magically greatly increasing the time until the body begins to decompose, or the body immediately decomposes over the course of the ritual, turning to ashes. A corpse blessed by Last Rites may not be raised by spells such as Animate Dead, although a magically preserved corpse may be utilized by Final Service.
