Sorcerers using the Slay Seed can evoke death spells which slay living targets.

Rank 1 - Slay Touch

Range: 10 yards Casting: Verbal, Somatic Defense: Special (see Effect) Effect: A ghostly hand reaches out to a nearby foe. The hand is immaterial and causes no harm to living beings other than the target. If the target has a Magic Resist bonus, subtract an equal number of dice from your dice pool. If they have a Magic Resist penalty instead add an equal number of dice to your dice pool. Afterward, if successes are equal or greater to target’s current Health, the target dies immediately. If the spell fails to kill the target, it deals 1 point of lethal damage instead. Target must be a living creature, Slay does not affect undead, constructs, or material. This is a magical effect and targets get no additional defense from dodge. Push: +1 Potency

Rank 2 - Slay Link

Range: Plane Casting: Verbal, Somatic Duration: 10 Minute ritual Effect: As Slay Touch, except using a link to a target (hair or blood) you may make a single slay attempt regardless of distance or sight (target must be on the same plane of existence). This attempt destroys the sample. Only one attempt may be made on a single target in a 24 hour period. Push: +1 Potency

Rank 3 - Slay Living

Range: Sight Casting: Verbal Effect: As Slay Touch, except a single target within sight is slain. Push: +1 Potency

Rank 4 - Mass Slay Living

Range: Sight Casting: Verbal Effect: As Slay Living, except additionally Slay Rank -1 targets within Rank yards of the first target to a maximum of 5 total targets affected. Push: +1 Potency

Rank 5 - Slay Aura

Area: 1 yard radius
Casting: Verbal Duration: 5 Rounds or 3 Charges Effect: As Slay Touch, except any living creature in the area of effect is slain. Unlike Slay Living, targets are not chosen and the aura will affect friendly characters. If the effect is activated with more targets in the area than charges, the targets are chosen randomly, however no target may be affected more than once per round. Push: +1 Duration (1 round), +1 Charge (2 pushes)
