The combined ranks of all undead under a caster's control may not exceed the caster's Seed: Animate Rank x 5. Once an undead is destroyed (reaches 0 HP) it cannot be reanimated.

Rank 1 - Animate Dead

Range: 10 yards
Target: Single Corpse
Duration: Permanent
Casting Time: 1 Minute Ritual
Casting: Verbal, Somatic
Effect: A target Medium sized corpse is raised as a Revenant of any type equal or lower than the Rank of the Seed. See Monster Guide for example Revenants.

The player may only have maximum combined Ranks of undead under his control equal to 5 x Rank. Undead can follow simple, one sentence instructions such as "Attack the enemy", "Guard the door" or "Defend me" and will continue to do so until given a different instruction. Each type of undead will respond to individual orders separately if the caster desires, so a caster might order zombies to guard a door and skeletons to attack.

The undead's sense of "friend or foe" is based on that of the caster, and is lost if the caster dies or otherwise loses control of their undead. Therefor, zombies under the control of a player who dies may turn to attack a formerly friendly target. If the undead are slain (reaching 0 HP) they may not be re-animated.

Push: +1 Target - An additional corpse is required for each additional target.


Rank 2 - Rapid Animation

Range: 10 yards
Target: Single Corpse
Duration: Permanent
Casting Time: Standard
Casting: Verbal, Somatic
Effect: This spell allows the caster to Animate Dead as a Standard Action instead of a 1 minute ritual.
Push: +1 Target - An additional corpse is required for each additional target.


Rank 3 - Undead Repair

Range: 10 yards
Target: Rank x 2 Undead
Duration: Concentration
Casting Time: Standard
Casting: Verbal, Somatic
Effect: This spell repairs Rank x 2 damaged, but not destroyed undead. The spell requires Concentration and restores 1 Health per round until the undead are fully repaired.
Push: +1 Targets - Repairs additional Rank targets


Rank 4 - Mass Animate

Range: 10 yards
Target: Rank Corpses
Duration: Permanent
Casting Time: Standard
Casting: Verbal, Somatic
Effect:
  • This spell animates Rank corpses with a single cast.
  • This spell allows corpses of up to Huge size to be animated. Larger creatures count as 1 higher Rank per size category above Medium for purposes of Animate Dead limits.
Push: +1 Targets - Rank additional Revenants (An additional corpse is required for each additional target)


Rank 5 - Master of the Dead

Range: 10 yards
Target: Rank Corpses
Duration: Permanent
Casting Time: Standard
Casting: Verbal, Somatic
Effect:
  • The caster’s limit of undead they can control (animated by any spell) is raised to 10 x Rank.
  • This spell may animate undead from corpses which were destroyed, although not corpses which were burned or otherwise reduced to ash.
  • This spell allows corpses of Colossal size to be animated. Larger creatures count as 1 higher Rank per size category above Medium for purposes of Animate Dead limits.
Push: +1 Targets - Rank additional Revenants (An additional corpse is required for each additional target)
