Effect | The caster unleashes a deadly beam of planar energy which deals Willpower + Sorcery + Seed: Energy lethal damage, and applies the elemental effect. The beam persists for as long as the caster concentrates for no additional mana cost until concentration is broken or Rank rounds have passed. Anybody passing through or being struck by the beam take damage. Each round that a target is struck by the beam (including the first, and even if the damage is prevented by Ward), the beam ignores a cumulative 1 Magical Defense to a maximum of Rank. If the target's Magic Defense is reduced to zero, they do not benefit from Magical Damage Reduction. At Rank 5, Energy Beam ignores cumulative 2 Magical Defense each round. If a target is slain by the beam, the next target in the path of the beam takes damage immediately. |
