Abominations

Rank 1

Void Beetle

These corrupted beetles hide and wait patiently for prey to approach before springing upon them. Conserving energy is the name of their game - a colony of these beetles can exist in a dormant state for weeks before waking to feed.

Rank 2

Void Maw

The slavering jowls of the Void Maw don’t care what passes between them - these voracious scavengers will eat anything, whether it’s dead, alive, or something in between. As such, their powerful bite carries diseases of all kinds.

Rank 3

Void Predator

In general, Void predators are lithe and slender. They stand upright as a humanoid, but their contorted and twisted limbs angle in unnatural ways and end in large lethal curved claws. Their features are angular and animalistic, with striking, faintly-glowing red eyes lacking visible sclera or pupils. Their hair and skin is bleached white from the unstable magics affecting it. Sharp, thin spines sprout from their backs, which widen and flatten over time as the creatures continue to transform into something else.

Rank 4

Void Predator Alpha

In general, Void predators are lithe and slender. They stand upright as a humanoid, but their contorted and twisted limbs angle in unnatural ways and end in large lethal curved claws. Their features are angular and animalistic, with striking, faintly-glowing white eyes lacking visible sclera or pupils. Their hair and skin is bleached white, and begins to darken as the spines on their back become larger and flatter, slowly becoming more akin to articulated plates that protect a newly-forming tail.

Rank 5

Void Predator Progenitor

A creature formed by corruptive magic, a Void Predator Progenitor is a force of unmitigated destruction. These beings have horribly twisted limbs ending in lethal claws, and their lower jaws are eclipsed by a pair of insectoid mandibles which glisten darkly with an unknown substance. Their long tails vaguely resemble that of a scorpion and seem to drip with the same vile toxin as their mouths. The magic-made substance can alter organic material and is how the Void Predators propagate their race: infecting living creatures, the Anathema toxin begins the process and alters those affected until they are unrecognizable as anything other than a Void Predator themselves.
