If the item is actively used (e.g. attacking with a veiled weapon, or reading from a veiled book) the effect is negated. If this spell is instead cast on a person, they are veiled from radiating magical auras, such as those from magical items unless a [[Magic_Guide#Detection_Spells|Detection Spell]] such as [[Mage Sight]] succeeds on an opposed roll.

Effect The caster veils an item on their person. Anyone rolling Search or Perception on the caster must succeed against a Magic Resistance roll or automatically fail to notice/find the item. If the item is actively used (e.g. attacking with a veiled weapon, or reading from a veiled book) the effect is negated. If this spell is instead cast on a person, they are veiled from radiating magical auras, such as those from magical items unless a Detection Spell such as Mage Sight succeeds on an opposed roll.
